ScreenRant is seeking a talented and experienced Entertainment Journalist to join our editorial team. This role focuses on crafting compelling long-form profiles and feature stories on key figures in the entertainment world. The ideal candidate is a skilled journalist with a distinctive voice, capable of delivering thoughtful, in-depth, and humanizing narratives that connect with readers and reflect ScreenRant’s style.
Your Responsibilities:
- Write long-form cover stories and profiles on actors, directors, showrunners, and other influential entertainment industry figures.
- Conduct interviews to develop unique, well-researched features.
- Collaborate closely with editors, publicists, and ScreenRant’s editorial planning team to identify timely and relevant subjects.
- Meet deadlines and adhere to content schedules for feature releases.
- Ensure factual accuracy and follow proper attribution standards.
Experience and Skills:
- Proven experience writing profiles, feature interviews, or magazine-style cover stories, ideally for entertainment or pop culture outlets.
- Strong portfolio showcasing storytelling skills and the ability to craft engaging narratives around real people.
- Excellent interviewing and research skills.
- A deep understanding of the entertainment industry, including emerging trends, key players, and behind-the-scenes insight.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with editorial and PR teams.
- Comfortable working in a deadline-driven, fast-paced media environment.
